Rembrandt
Portraiture ~ with a twist
4-5 days no
sewing machine
The
focus of this class is to create a dramatic, expressionistic
portrait. Rembrandt, La Tour, Caravaggio, all incorporated
the technique of using a single, directional, light source
to create depth and mystery in their imagery. Using traditional
elements of composition with a contemporary spin, enhanced
with textile paints, you will create an expressive portrait
juxtaposing light and dark as your tools of intrigue.
